Creating a Food Pod or Food-buying Group Food pods are groups of people who get together to buy food from the "wholesale" market or in bulk Food buying clubs are run on a volunteer basis, with most members volunteering time toward the tasks of ordering the food, keeping the books, and distributing the food when it comes in. Tasks can rotate so that everyone has a chance to try a new job (and no one person gets stuck with a job no one likes). - gather information about potential distributors -find some members. Discuss the idea with family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers. -Build commitment within the group. Definitions of things, for newcomers: Freedom of assembly, or freedom of association, is the individual right of people to meet and collectively express, promote, pursue, and defend their shared ideas. Class war, or class struggle, refers to the economic battle and political tension that exists because of inequalities of power in the socioeconomic hierarchy (income inequality). In its simplest manifestation, class conflict refers to the ongoing battle between the rich and poor. Class war by the rich includes: -Direct violence, such as assassinations, coups, revolutions, counterrevolutions, and battles for control of government, natural resources, and labor, -Oppressive violence, such as deaths from poverty, malnutrition, illness, refusal of medical care or coverage, and unsafe workplaces; -Economic coercion, such as the threat of unemployment, the withdrawal of investment capital; -Political machinations through lobbying (bribery of legislators). voter suppression and disenfranchisement; -Ideological struggle by way of propaganda and control of websites or media: Class warfare by the poor includes: -Economic threats of boycotts or strikes. -Sustained direct interference with 'business', such as sit-ins, occupations, or intentional arrests, -Protests, marches, and gatherings to organize them. Civil disobedience is the active and professed refusal of a citizen to obey certain laws, demands, orders, or commands of a government (or any other authority). By some definitions, civil disobedience has to be nonviolent to be called "civil". Hence, civil disobedience is sometimes equated with peaceful protests or nonviolent resistance. Propaganda of the deed, or propaganda by the deed, is a type of direct action intended to influence public opinion. The action itself is meant to serve as an example for others to follow, acting as a catalyst for social revolution.
