My first memory of DOOM was playing a flash game version of E1M1. The sounds was bit crushed to hell, no music, the visuals was blockier than Minecraft, but MAN was it fun. Played it for a while until my older brother bought a copy of Doom 3 with the classic games. The rest was history.
My friend has this uncanny ability to summon archviles when I'm streaming a megawad. He'll make a joke about there being an archvile (or use his soundboard) and 5 minutes later, without fail, there is an archvile I'm woefully unprepared for.
My dad played the first episode of DOOM while my sister and I were babies. I'm not sure if I did, but I know I got to play and beat most of the games to finish where my dad left off. The 2016 DOOM game was the first new one that I beat, and I played it for hours.

I saw my dad play on Nightmare! difficulty when I was 5. A pinky zoomed in and killed him. I cried. Now Doom has been a part of my dna my whole life. Best videogame ever

Yeah so aside from playing the hell out of that game, my brothers and I used to skip church so we could play 1v1 deathmatch of Doom. That's how I learned that the rockets have a small red ring on the front of them.
