you tap the little checkerboard and boom you're done. It stays if you change brushes. You can then just.... you know. Pick the colour to start brushing again after. It's really easy.
OBSERVE! The tiny lock that you click and is visible, instead of having to press a key and then click twice and oh boy, no visual indicator if the brush is or isn't locked unless you wanna f5 again and doublecheck. COOL.
