The first drawing was actually done on my dad’s ipad! Huzzah! I don’t think I’ve gotten as used as I want on a tablet but I definitely want to enter the digital art space it’s just too convenient for things I want to do, for me to ignore. Also it’s about the novel “The Flower That Bloomed Nowhere”, do check it out if you’re interested in a fantasy novel with sci-fi author levels of worldbuilding and physics yapping.
Was at first an attempt to draw Liadain with her cane, then it turned out alright and decided to fill the scene with a basic background. Extra points if you see what’s hidden in the painting
Also, it was after I was done with this and shared it with the community that I realized that frills aren’t actually attached to the skirt but instead a separate fabric layer under the skirt, still need to figure out how that works.
I actually liked the first digital image when I made it, now… I think I could’ve paid more attention to the weird green ghost lol, but w/e
The first one was actually meant to be an art to celebrate the anniversary of the series, but back I kinda knew I was capable of better, so it did leave me unsatisfied, will absolutely aim for the stars next year 🔥
Ones in pencil are characters from Virtuous Sons, which I have not made much more fanart of since then, but if you like big muscular men it’s your go to series.

Pearl is Liadain’s plushie from Nowhere Stars. And also the last bastion of her mental stability. In the physical volumes the illustration of Pearl is probably referenced on Bulid-a-bear’s axolotl so it’s what I use as well.
In the first photo you can see my first-ish attempt at trying to draw Liadain, the MC of nowhere Stars, and it definitely wasn’t the last.
If there’s anything I want to cry about Nowhere Stars, it’s the fact that while the MC’s magical dress is very cute, it has so many frills 😭 it was painful for my beginner bum.
To explain what I said before about this novel being the reason I began drawing, usually the series I got super obsessed over had reaaaaallly big fandoms, to the point that there was more fanart than capable to consume. This was not the case with NS. So I was left to starve. It began with a few silly meme edits and even gifs(you can find them by typing nowhere stars into Tenor) but well, you can see it didn’t stop there. This account is also a shameless shill for it. If magical girls going against horrors beyond comprehension sounds like your thing, go READ!
