The blaze is towering, scorching hot even through his armor, consuming the land in an instant. When it dissipates, the enemies are nothing more than charred husks upon the blackened ground. And in the center of the smoking battlefield, there's Dorian: back straight and staff raised, glaring at him in challenge.
An excerpt of fanfiction by Mouse, zine writer: The voice, both present and distant, made a promise in turn. The Necropolis rumbled, not a groan nor a roar, but a chorus. Goosebumps rushed over Nona's body as she found herself leaning closer still to the flames, wanting to see more clearly. It did not seem, at first, that one spirit in particular spoke, but that the words came from something older, something deeper still, something unknowable—but it spoke to her and another, somewhere, in the crowd of those watching.

It is astounding that brontos are capable of extracting nutrients from even the barest of edible organic material and still be capable of such strength. It is that strength and hardiness that makes them prized beasts of burden with a fierceness rivaled only by the druffalo.
