- History of the Elders, Part I - The world, covered with lush green grass and beautiful patterned rocks. Earth had not one creature living on its land. Many seasons have come and gone, eons have passed, until 600 BW, The first elder Araneaes emerged from underground. These elders were what many believed to be the first of our kind. They were bigger and less defined in anatomy, but they were intelligent and adaptive. The elders roamed, admiring the beauty of the world they live in, but even Earth's beauty has its ugly sides. The elders would face what most Araneaes know as the “The Long Quietus,” a powerful storm that happens every winter for twelve days, a harsh reminder that many Araneaes are not invincible, nor the lives they had were perfect. With many elders deceased or displaced from the Long Quietus, the ones remaining were left to devise a plan to find a perfect home. They begged and prayed for Earth to hear their cries to find land fit for them…Many heard a calling, a wind that was guiding them. The elders listened, and began spinning their first webs, making a glider to soar through the rich sky. Many believe their silk was stronger than Earth's minerals. The elders all collectively move eastward, finding haven in what is known to many Araneaes as the Old World, where they began spreading, reproducing offspring, and evolving.
