I don't do prior auths but this statement from a former UnitedHealth CMO seems wildly incorrect, out of touch, or gaslighting. I've heard from numerous doctors who are *not* put in touch with a true PEER (or have to go through hours of hold times to reach one) www.mprnews.org/story/2024/1...

Feel like it's also worth reiterating that even when the "peer" is an MD, they are often in an unrelated field and may no longer be practicing clinically at all.
