My name is Arlee Vallin, and I am an undergraduate Biospychology major with a minor in Speech, Language, and Science Disorders at UCSB. I am conducting a research study examining the experiences of Latinx families with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) who communicate via augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices, and more specifically, understanding parents’ perspectives and experiences with these tools. I am also interested in examining the different perspectives of each parent within one family. If you are interested, participating involves completing an online survey that will take approximately 10 minutes to complete.
