(In response to removing text from Harry Potter) eudaimonistic: Is everyone else responsible for that? I've experienced personal trauma in my life that can in fact trigger me, but I don't ask the world to cater to me and prevent me from ever having to deal with it. Is this not a suggestion to coddle people? Psychologically speaking, that is the opposite of helpful. Avoiding trauma is how it festers and makes episodes worse. To some extent a person should manage it and maybe not engulf themselves entirely in what triggers them, but to be extremely clear we're talking about a single passage quotation of a children's book. It doesn't even talk about trans people at all.
