Cyanotypes, an Alternative Process Workshop Presented by the International Center of Photography Thursday, July 23, 2026 From 6pm to 7pm Sunset Park Library 5108 4th Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11220 Cyanotype, or “sun print”, is a photographic process that gained in popularity in the nineteenth century. Alice Austen made prints for display from her glass plate negatives through a process called contact printing. Using vintage glass plates from our education collection, families will create cyanotypes with the help of our AAH teaching artists, using sun-powered printmaking to produce images on shirts, cotton pages, and sheets.
