Generative AI- the reason people are hyper-skeptical to begin with- initially reasoned the photo and the newspaper were AI fabrications. They only corrected after humans ID'ing it as today's WaPo reached their corpus.

🚨 AI is a media literacy issue 🚨 People who believe McConnell's newspaper is AI generated are using AI to "enhance" the image, then taking the gibberish it produces as proof the original is fake. It's a circle of misinformation.
