Hiked the Pioneer Loop at Cumberland Mountain State Park Saturday. The full loop's about a 5.5 mile walk, but there's a 2 mile short loop. More eventful that I'd have liked. Slipped on the suspension bridge and somehow fell on my pack in a way that I wasn't hurt; saw a black snake along the trail.

There's a lot of neat rock outcroppings (including a small squeeze on the full loop) and little waterfalls. Lots of water on the trail (the day after a storm) and at least one creek crossing. Definitely want waterproof shoes with good tread.
