incredible actually, this happened at my job recently and i was utterly confounded that our director was asking all of us to *read his slide deck in advance of a meeting* -- like, isn't that your job?

data point: my older daughter (12) has often been assigned to create slides in situations where, if memory serves, i would have just had to write a paragraph or do a slide-less "presentation"/talk. and kids (girls?) LIKE slides. a Canva subscription was on her christmas list!
