This was partly because the world of the Net was expanding so quickly--today's lie so often became tomorrow's fact--and partly because the people who would have most questioned the medium's credibility couldn't use the medium and so acquiesced to what they were told about it and partly because there was this belief that no matter what problems and issues arose, technology would offer better and better solutions.
Reddit Screenshot: I've had so many interests growing up that I thought were gonna be my lifelong passion but they turned out to be temporary flings. Programming is the only thing that I tried, fell in love with and kept coming back to for close to two decades. It really became my one true passion. Since this whole AI "boom" came about, I've never felt so disinterested about programming. Every time I go on the internet, social media, I'm bombarded with fucking AI and I absolutely loathe it.
