A memory of a sunlight conservatory. The energy of light and forms randomly pulled together . A complicated interior of shapes and colours . Half light, in a pale yellow . Half shade in pale olive green.
Head tilted back eyes semi closed as if dreaming. An explosion and swirling of random red based colours, hinting at a bright blue background. The same swirl of colours meld into the composition of the tilted head - creating a connection. Suggestive of deep meditative thought. One of a series of ‘portrait’ works.

One of a series concerning the forest. All the complexity of colour, light, shadows - This is a freely applied layering of washes of colours, with suggested verticals. Trying to provide for the brain the sense of what a forest is as reported by the eye.

A complex of colours yellow blue green red . Trying to represent the complexity of a Forest. Verticals suggest trees. Yellow suggests light . An emotive composition to suggest how I feel about such places. The Japanese term ‘Shinrin Yoku’ meaning “forest bathing” is mentioned.
A quickly laid wash of colours primarily green / green blueish. Depicting the sensation of the magical morning light first appearing at break of day. With some sharp green diagonals suggesting shadow. An emotive abstract that to me exudes positiveness.
