The ECHL is aware of the recent statements from the Professional Hockey Players’ Association and while we may see some aspects of our Collective Bargaining Agreement differently, the League and Member Teams are committed to continuing the negotiation process for all stakeholders in the ECHL community until a new agreement can be reached. Since January 2025, following a leadership transition within the PHPA that delayed last summer’s standard negotiation period, the League and our Member Teams have been working with the PHPA to advance meaningful discussions toward a new Collective Bargaining Agreement. Together, both sides have already reached tentative agreements on a number of important terms, and we remain committed to continuing this progress. Several key elements are still being finalized, but our focus is unwavering in achieving a fair and equitable agreement that benefits both our players and teams, supporting the long-term stability of minor league hockey. Most importantly, we remain dedicated to delivering the affordable, family-friendly entertainment that our fans cherish in communities across North America. We appreciate the passion and support of our fans, and the professionalism and dedication of our players, as we look forward to moving ahead toward a positive outcome for everyone involved.
