Arbutus menziesii on the coast in Nanaimo, BC. The tree is in the grass just before the dunes start, with the ocean in the background and mountains in the distance. A large *beautiful* hand-made clay mug. The bottom is mountains that were carved out after a black underglaze, laving a shadowed mountain range. The mountain range has no glaze. Above the mountains and the handle are glazed with blue, green, and purple that are somewhat striated and "streak" across each other looking exactly like a strong aurora borealis. The mug is full of a tea latte with blue/pink/purple sprinkles in the foamed milk.
