Texas has a long history of vigilante violence. The Texas Rangers, now a law enforcement unit, started as a vigilante group to murder indigenous and Mexican people in TX. During the 2nd KKK’s 1915-1939 rise, thousands were murdered and millions deported (mostly US citizens) in TX & across the USA.
