How about adding components for a datapack function to be called upon the block being punched/interacted/broken/exploded etc.?

Nice work! You could try sending this idea or even implementation to Mojang, however that might do the opposite of helping since Mojang doesn't really want to copy mods and rarely does so. On the other hand, they've been cooperating with the community a lot lately. I'd say maybe give it a try.

Can I ask why the placement sound is inside the block? Wouldent it be better to be stored in the item. Also should note block sound rather be stored in the note block itself? Also why translation for block name? Anyways great mod tho!
