Kali eats bullets like candy. She can make her saliva corossive, and tends to suck on live rounds as a snack, wearing through the metal and then setting off the powder in her mouth to absorb the energy from the explosion. Different calibers have different tastes, she associates the powder explosion with "sweet chocolate" taste and the metal with a more bitter chocolate flavor. She dislikes .50 caliber rounds as they're far too much metal and then overcorrected for with too much powder, and usually prefers pistol rounds to get at the "sweet" center faster. She also prefers to eat modern smokeless powder, as traditional black powder, quote, "tastes like burnt shit and rotten eggs"

I think I accidentally came up with the best encapsulation of the worldbuild for Bread's cycle 0... "Look, Supernatural and Paranormal are meaningless terms. They exist only in the context of fiction, stuff that can't exist because it doesn't. If any of that sort of thing is *real* then it stops being "super"-natural and immediately becomes simply Natural. You see, if it exists, it has to have *mechanics* it has to *work* in some way, nothing real happens Just Because. And at the point something can happen, its not that it exists outside of comprehensible and conventional science, its that our view of what's normal needs to expand to include the rare phenomonon. If it happens once, its novel, if it happens twice, its rare. If it happens three times? Then it needs to be studied. Once something can be studied, it can be understood. Even if we can't understand it completely, we can know how it acts and reacts, and from there even a surface level understanding distances it from the unknowable supernatural. Its just what people do, humanity has been taking personal offense at the unknown for our entire history."
Was thinking on how old Worldeaters get, and realized something. Despite Nameless and Kali meeting at the start of both of their second Cycles, and at that point they were both trillions and trillions of years old, both outliving all of human civilization and experiencing the heat death of the universe... The best way to describe their relationship is as childhood friends. Worldeaters develop quickly, able to go from completely non-sentient to equivalent of a human adult in a few decades, out of a lifespan that can reach thousands of cycles. But they mature slow, mostly due to one part insanity, and one part rarely caring about life outside their Obsessions. Practically speaking, a Worldeater isn't mature until they go through Cycle 0, with all of Cycle 1 being a sort of transition to proper Eldritch Maturity. Except Kali and Nameless's Cycle 1 was dead when they got there, swearing they never wanted to see the other as they went into Cycle 2, only to run into each other during Cycle 3. The way they talk about their earlier cycles is similar to a human reminiscing about being young, dumb, and making a lot of haunting mistakes because they didn't know any better

Her eldritch form has her hair form tentacles, a 50 caliber machine gun formed out of her shoulder, and a rocket launcher out of her chest. Other firearms are growing out of her torso. Finally, her Worldeater Form is less overtly threatening then Bread's, being a simpler ball of gas with no mouth or fangs, and big glowing orange eyes.
Other Eldritch-type characters: Cool, mysterious, in control, elegant. Meanwhile, my two eldritch dorks stagger in, their clothes torn and dirty, their hair is on fire still, cop cars are pulling up outside. They hand your typical eldritch entity a recently emptied jelly jar with a frog in it. The jelly is peach, the frog is dead. It seems like they had fun doing... whatever it is they were doing... "State Fair Weekend." They say as they head to the basement, as if that explains anything.

88.4 WT-FM has a reputation for being a mindless conspiracy theory broadcast station, but it's not entirely their fault, its mostly how they present themselves. The first issue is the way they name and introduce their stories *very* questionable, for example "Is the fluorite in your water a ploy by a secret society masquerading as dentists to make you servile?" (Conclusion: No, that is ridiculous, fluorite has known and studied health benefits and dentists are real.). The other problem is that the modern view of "Conspiracy Theory" is a transparently politically aggravating piece that leads to real harm, the stories they cover tend to be largely unrelated with current events, meaning people who would be interested in possible supernatural occurrences don't tune in, and people who want to hear modern conspiracy theories leave disappointed that none of the stories call for an angry mob to mobilize. The final problem is that the setting they're in is particularly weird. Eldritch Horror in Peoria besides, the larger setting is just a bit different from the world we know. For example, it is well studied fact that North American forests have sparse populations of great apes exhibiting a known bipedal gait. Are these the Baby-Eating Sasquatches of urban legends? No, because while they are 100% what old myths about Bigfoot are referring to, they prefer a vegetarian diet, but are obligate carnivores if no other food sources are available. The current theory is the baby-eating myths are due to a particularly bad blizzard one winter leading to desperation. Of course, they get their stories wrong every now and then (Like their infamous "Hot Dog eating contests point to intelligent design" (Maybe there's a link between Humanity being omnipresent and having a fixation on being able to eat a ton of food in one sitting with Worldeaters, but there's definitely no intelligence behind that design) but most of their stories carry actual sources and conclusions to them.
Kali's vision is adapted to seriously tunnel in when focusing and aiming, to the point that she almost had a biological 2x or 3x scope in her eyes. The downside is if she's focusing, she can get stuck "Zoomed In" and needs a minute to adapt back to close quarters vision, like a pupil dialating or contracting based on light. Corpse has the opposite problem. His vision is adapted to be sensitive to movement, to the point that his peripheral vision is almost as good as his central cone of vision. When focusing on a distant target, he tends to have trouble aiming due to his eye's tendency to auto-focus on movement in his periphery instead of on what he's aiming at.

Scraps has three voice boxes inside of her. The V1 anti-matter powered voice box Bread and Corpse use, the V2 tinny, distorted box made of old MP3 player parts Static and Rine use, and an existing integrated voice synthesier that was left in her body from before she was assimilated. She normally uses the V1 box, only using the V2 when she wants to mimic or repeat a voice. The synth voice is used when she wants to pretend to be a robot to mess with people. Its mostly another trick that only works on people who doesn't know she's a Worldeater proxy, but Scraps will try to appear as Robotic as possible, her eyes unfocus and appear empty, her face becomes less expressive, and her voice lacks all indications of humanity the V1 & V2 boxes have, becoming monotone and stilted. However, even if you know its a lie, seeing her go from a dead and lifeless machine to a sentient and active Worldeater Proxy is a bit jarring
Note on Scrap's fluid system. Her chest is full of energy liquid, the metal bars that look like ribs are one part cooling sinks and one part conductive contacts. Power enters her system from the ribs, and is routed in traditional wiring to servos in the legs. The worldeater handles the arms, but they get power more directly. The clear arms fill with power fluid when she's charging up a laser shot. Most shots are below max power, so only a little bit fills it. A 100% power shot does fill the arm completely, as the fluid is not compressed. The fluid in the chest is normally under pressure and slighly warm, making that area feel like skin. A 1451% power shot fills both arms with compressed fluid and uses all of it. Its technically a 1500% power shot, but 49% of power is lost to thermodynamics due to the system becoming superheated and outstripping cooling tech. Also, a 1451% shot is very painful to charge, and sheer agony to fire. It is a last resort, but so long as the worldeater can block one arm from light, its the strongest attack they can make in full daylight
Batteries made from Scraps' core fluid are extremely powerful. A single cell the size of a AAA can power every aspect of an EZ-RAIDER's kit for several weeks, from Night Vision Goggles (used outside the blockbuster), 360 degree light coverage, directional headlamps, radios, sensors (sudden low temps & drops in barometer pressure means Static is about to appear or is nearby) and the high-powered lights on their weapons. The EZ-RAIDER base's backup generator is a single car battery full of the stuff. Figurine keeps trying to locate it when she breaks into the base, but its well hidden, the location is cycled daily, and only 4 people know where it is, the quartermaster, 2 randomly selected soldiers, and one random officer. This single car battery can power the entire base for a month without being fully drained
Scraps has several leftover design flaws from her initial design. The clear upper arms, although remade in stronger materials, is still a glaring weakness, as it opens up a similar vulnerability to light that Corpse's joints has. The arms were supposed to be filled with fluid. It leaked out soon after she left the factory. Orginally made of plastic and carbon nanotubes, they were remade out of bulletproof glass in a series of conductive overlapping scales and move similarly to how Corpse moves his arms. This level of precise manufacturing is frankly impossible for anything but a Worldeater to do. As a result, Scraps functionally loses use of her arms if they get hit with a bright light. The other is that she's made of very lightweight materials, although she's much heavier then her initial build that primarially used aluminum and plastic, she's nowhere near as heavy as Corpse is. She's under 1/4th of the weight, but it means that she's far more suceptible to damage. Scraps has a laser system integrated into her hands that is legit impressive work (and stolen from someone else) but was critically underpowered. Now that its hooked up to a Worldeater, it can fire at 100%. Which it was never designed to do. Firing it at max forcibly deposesses the body due to stress to the frame causing internal tearing and exposing most of the body to a high impulse flash that *hurts the Worldeater like hell!* Scraps' lack of feet is also a design problem, but not one that the Worldeater notices, as he's gotten really good at controlling Corpse and has adjusted well to Scraps' body, although he has personal greivences, namely that due to not being built like a (literal) tank, she can take far less stress then Corpse, and thus they can't be as rough on the frame (no massive jumps or running through walls). They also dislike that Scraps is 5 foot even. The Worldeater prefers larger human-scale forms. Also, the area around her bellybutton is an induction charger. Nobody knows why...

Somehow, a group of Trespassers managed to make a non-neutonian door to seal off a hideout. Nobody's entirely sure *how* they did this, since in their own words "We had a quite a few beers and when we woke up, the door was halfway in realspace, half out, and we all had a killer headache." The non-neutonian door acts like the solid steer door it looks like when anyone tries to run through it, but if you walk slowly, you can step right through it. Its perfectly safe, the only side effect is that it feels disconcerningly *right* to do. Like your body is a little *too* comfortable stepping through what should and could be a solid object

Worldeaters have a weird relationship with memories and expectations. Its theorized part of why they often take humanoid, or classically Eldritch proxies is because of this. But the weirdest reaction is with alcohol. Alcohol is, to put it simply, about as old as humanity. Its also loaded with emotional connotations from how it effects people. All this to say is Worldeaters can get drunk because they psyche themselves out and placebo themselves into it by the sheer ancestral association they have with alcohol and becoming an emotionally disregulated mess. How it effects them depends on their proxy. For example, Kali, having an organic and (mostly) human form takes less to get drunk then Nameless, who has inorganic and inhuman proxies. Partly because the placebo-intoxication is localized to the proxy itself. The worldeater esentially gets hyperfocused on that proxy and locked inside of it. (I.E. A drunk Bread means Corpse and Rine are unable to be possessed, and new Bread bodies unable to be made) However, it does take a lot to get a Worldeater drunk. Even with a lightweight Proxy, their tolerance is usually far above the lethal limit for a human. A few dozen bottles of high-proof liquor, kegs of beer, or like 5 umbrella drinks (those things are dangerous!) or more is needed to get a Worldeater buzzed. Another note is that it tastes different to them. The association that drives them to become drunk overrides the flavors. Cheep wine tastes like sadness, tequila tastes like summer, champaigne tastes like a big event. Its less that they're drinking alcohol for the taste, more that they're drinking it for the emotions and contexts its usually drunk for. Oh, and cheap beer tastes like "Full Send It."
There's a certain type of anomaly called a Blood Diamond. Its not dangerous, its perfectly safe to touch, and takes the form of a large, blood-red, cut, diamond. However, unless specifically hired to, no one ever tries to sell these diamonds. Why? They're made out of people. A blood diamond is an entire person's worth of carbon that Static has condensed into a diamond as a warning. Legally, these are considered the same as disturbing human remains. To further drive the warning home, the diamonds include a personal effect from the victim embedded in its center, usually a drivers license, ID, credit card, or something unique they had on their person. If the victim didn't have anything particularly unique on them, teeth or a finger will be used instead Blood Diamonds are one of the few things Trespassers and EZ-RAIDERs will work together with, if a Trespasser is able to safely recover one, its expected procedure to hand it over to a patrol. The Trespasser gets an escort out of the zone and a free pass, while the national guard works on figuring out who to turn the body over to. Additionally, skilled Trespassers are comissioned to recover these diamonds by the national guard. Nobody likes Blood Diamond thieves. These are probably the only way remains of fallen raiders and explorers are ever recovered. Anyone who tries to steal these diamonds and sell them for a profit has a tendency to disappear the next time they enter the zone.

Worldeaters develop an odd view of what a Human is. For some reason, Humans of some description exist in almost every reality, they're like the cockroaches of the universe. Impossible to be rid of entirely, omnipresent, and possible to infest an empty reality from an adjacent one. In turn, a Worldeater's view of what constitues a human seems defined as "Anything that contains a sense of Humanity." Under this definition, its perfectly possible for things that would never be classified as human by species to be seen as human by vibes. For example, Bread doesn't view politicans and police as human as to him it seems their main purpose is to inflict suffering and violence onto proper humans, but he does regard Trespassers and EZ-RAIDERs as human despite how often they come into conflict with him, even as Trespassers gain weird tricks such as becoming transparent and immaterial when threatened.
Kali's a pretty skilled outdoorsEntity. She's an extremely competent hunter, as part of her unwavering firearms Obsession, but to properly enjoy that aspect of firearms, she's picked up camping, fishing, tracking, boating, and similar survival skills. While she doesn't really need them aside from for fun, its helpful if she's ever out in the wilderness with a human who *does* need someone who can build a shelter, a fire, and kill a moose.
I might need to figure out a good way to designate *which* Worldeater I'm talking about, since there's two now. In my notes, I've been specifying Bread/Corpse/Static/Figurine as belonging to Nameless or The Nameless Worldeater. Related, but from the time they first introduced each other, and Kali learned that they refused to name themself, she's never tried to give them a name, just calling them *"Friend"*
Kali's familiarity with computers taps out at around early terminal environments. Not from a lack of interest, from a lack of development in her Cycle 0. Kali's first Cycle was a bit... tumultuous. She first gained sentience during its equivalent of World War 2, fully waking up in time for WW3, joined the army to get her hands on fancy new guns called "Assault Rifles" for WW4, took WW5 off to learn gunsmithing, went independant for WW6, and she spent the next couple worldwide conflicts alone, studying and making custom pieces, a bit tired of constant war. By the end of WW9, it was hard to tell if she should keep upping the count, or if whoever came next would be so different it warrented resetting the World War count. Either way, technology never got too far past the 80's. Even if war allegedly drives innovation, its hard to keep advancing when spending everything on war. Needless to say, she has a kind of dim view of Humans and human nature as war-happy, bloodthirsty idiots. Her belief is that compared to Humanity, she can't be considered a monster. Its highly likely that "Propaganda" is a word Kali learned from Bread. In her C0, there wasn't really art that wasn't propaganda. I imagine she regarded the first game Bread showed her without combat in it with a mix of confusion and amazement ("Did humans really make something like this?") Hell, she probably got confused the first cycle where international travel was possible!
Corpse and Kali will sometimes find an abandoned or secluded place, like abandoned warehouses or ruins unknown to humanity, to set up a game of theirs. They seed the area with agreed on weapons, based on broad categories like "Automatics", "Feels Western", "pistols only" or "Rocket Launchers. Nothing but Rocket Launchers." and once set up, and the area is sufficiently dark, they proceed to shoot each other. While they are trying to kill each other, the two treat this more like a game of paintball or laser tag, keeping track of individual hits the other gets on them. Additionally, Corpse will wait for Kali to reconstruct her body, and Kali will help Corpse reassemble if a limb flies too far away. This game of theirs manages to hit both of their Obsessions, for Kali its a good excuse for a different type of range day, and for Corpse, he organizes it like a custom Halo or CoD map. However, it reminds both of them of their pasts and is oddly theraputic to working out regrets and old shames
The most dangerous sequence of events for a Worldeater leaving their first reality is to enter a second one that is already dying. Their already mentally unstable from losing their first home, and in the case of entering a reality where The Long Night has set in, they'll immediately start eating that reality. Stress-eating two large meals on a smaller Worldeater tends to overload their senses and obliterate their consciousness. It would be possible for them to hang on, but given their mental state, its a sort of eldritch suicide, they intentionally let their minds be obliterated. As "luck" would have it, both Bread and Kali's Cycle 1 universe was deep in The Long Night when they got there. Worse, there was a second Worldeater already there. Naturally, they started trying to kill each other. They only stopped because both of them did something that reminded the other of what they lost. Corpse was going to just leave Kali to eat that reality, but she asked him to stay and split it. They tried to play off their reasons, but both were just lonely after spending so much time in a dead universe their previous cycle.

The Long Night is what Worldeaters refer to as the absolute heat death of a reality. This is the point where reality simply can't support life anymore. Not due to any disaster, or even because of the Worldeater, simply because nothing can last forever, eventually things just wear out. Basic thermodynamics states all energy in a system moves towards an average, where no point in the system has more energy than any other point. Heat death is that happening on a univeral scale. There are some visible cues, first is that the last stars in the sky are starting to die, and there's not enough raw material to form new nebulae to condense into new stars. Hence calling it "The Long Night", an eternal night that will never break. The next sign is that atomic bonds are slowly starting to fail, resulting in matter slowly gaining a layer of white, dead, matter. Like a mix of snow and sand that springs up from the ground. There's a part of a Worldeater that's naturally in tune to this and can feel a sense of dread at the exact moment their current home is dead. This point is especially perilous for Cycle 0 Worldeaters (Hi, that's me, this is my first cycle!) As being ripped from the reality their consciousness formed in and their obsession solidified inside is particularly traumatizing. Worldeaters tend to spend *far* longer in The Long Night of their first cycle, alone in a dead universe, waiting in the dark for life to come back, for hundreds of trillions of years after the last star burns out, maybe longer. At this point, its very likely for a Worldeater to just give up out of despair. To let go of consciousness and return to a non-sentient mass only focused on eating. Those who hang on to their sentience still take a hit to their mental health. Quirks, neurotic tics, and other signs of an insane mind manifest, and older Worldeaters are often never quite the same. Very rarely, a Worldeater will go Sane from the loss. They'll actually process what's happening to them, gri…

Due to irresponsible over-funding of police departments, most EZ-RAIDER gear that isn't standard national guard issue is forcibly requisitioned from local police SWAT teams. On paper, EZ-RAIDERs have all the proper paperwork from the state's governor to simply ask and be given what they need, but given that they're militarized enough to be a primary source of constantly lost supplies, and the forces are comprised of an abnormally high amount of bullies and thugs, even for police officers, its been decided that raiding local PDs at gunpoint and taking what they need is far easier and less risky then cooperating. Part of it is their eagerness to go into the zone, paired with their general ineptitude with de-escalation. Being able to talk the Worldeater down from violence or reach an agreement with a Trespasser is almost needed to survive a patrol if things go badly. As a result, every time the police force themselves into an expedition, they go in and die in short order due to falling for a fairly obvious or well known trap that they lack the built up knowledge EZ-RAIDERs or Trespassers have to avoid them. Really, the biggest impact they have, aside from being beaten up by everyone but the Trespassers, is punching down and shooting anyone they think they can get away with outside the zone. Which usually amounts to some tourists and new Trespassers. Mostly b/c they view the exclusion zone as a lawless area full of drug dealers and criminals, so they're "doing a civic duty" Given that the Worldeater views police the same way as politicians, not as humans, but as human-mimic parasites, the rare instances they leave the zone tends to be to hunt these would-be vigalantes for sport when they're really bored. Per usual, no one really minds. Except for the police, but no one really cares about their opinion.

The EZ-RAIDER Commander has a novelty desk lamp where the lamp hangs over a small metal chair spot welded to a steel plate with a lockbox drawer in the base containing a roll of duct tape, a pair of bandage scissors, and some forceps. This is in case he catches Figurine breaking into his office. Again. The lamp is to make sure she can't move as well or send out smoke to eat away the duct tape restraints. The bandage scissors and forceps are to cut a little piece of duct tape to cover her mouth and stop her from swearing at him non-stop. And a quick little idea the above gave me The commander looked down at Figurine. After consderable effort, and the noble sacrifice of one of his favorite jackets, he had managed to duct tape her to the small chair under his desklight. The small plastic woman was struggling, and as usual, swearing. This was going to be a long night. "Ok, What were you doing in my office this time?" Figurine glared at him, "Your office? Its on my property! I have a right to be here!" The Commander flipped through a pad of notes he kept for these interrogations, she had said something like that before, that the base was her property. "How do you figure that? This base was on public land that was seized by the national guard after the exclusion zone was first set up years ago." Figurine smiled, it was never reassuring when she was smug like this, "That's simple! I ate the governor, so by right all the stuff he owned belongs to me now!" She laughed as she spoke, "You really should be thanking me for only taking this small piece of land and not the entire state! I know, it was very generous of me." The Commander paused, his pen hovering over his notes as she confessed. "Wait. You ATE the governor? Which one of the four that went missing did you eat!?" "I... Uh... I want a lawyer!"
