Timelapse of my painting of Saint. It starts with me trying to figure out a pose, their face, if they should have 6 arms, before I slap on some color and I just kept layering. I initially started with warm hues over green/teal, but ended up with a bluer and cooler background

Photo of my current sketchbooks. Honestly i havent done anything in the fish sketchbook in a long time- i got this one to use markers with. The second sketchbook is handmade by me! It's a little wonky and the last few pages are honestly holding on for dear life- i used washi tape to secure them- but it's still serving me well

Lots of marks on this page because I kept trying to layer inks over crayons (the crayons clog up the nibs...dont do this!!) On the left side are the colors I brought with me: cmyk + pinks and purple. The first drawing is a color study based on a photo, just testing out how the colors might imitate the translucency of water with my limited palette Second is a goldfish, where I tried to layer the crayons over posca Third drawing, I tried to do more complicated shapes with a sea dragon
