Ghislaine Maxwell is a British socialite and convicted sex offender, born on December 25, 1961, in Maisons-Laffitte, France. She is the youngest daughter of disgraced publishing tycoon Robert Maxwell. Maxwell gained notoriety for her association with Jeffrey Epstein, a financier and convicted sex offender. She was arrested in July 2020 and charged with enticement of minors, sex trafficking of children, and perjury, among other offenses. In December 2021, she was convicted on five of six counts related to the sex trafficking of minors. In June 2022, she was sentenced to 20 years in prison and is currently serving her sentence at FCI Tallahassee, a low-security federal prison in Florida. Her case has drawn significant public attention due to her connections with high-profile figures and the nature of her crimes.
