Talos represents a «new wave» of operating systems. It’s not generic, but focused on one task. Immutable and ephemeral. Updating just replaces the whole OS instead of updating in place. It makes a lot of sense! It’s not just Talos, Google has Container OS and AWS has Bottlerocket.
