A thermostat apparently. Basically a jumble of different coloured wires coming out of a plastic box. Which my husband needs to work out how to wire in without killing anyone or blowing up the electrics.
Right at the end of the event, a fab ceidlh band got everyone dancing! The backdrop is city hall with its hundreds of windows. In the foreground, lots of happy young people dancing. You can just about see the band on the stage. A wonderful way to wrap up the day.
The roof and struts and arches at Paddington station. I was particularly struck by a set of ornate balconies and shutters but they are not clear in the photo. Elaborate details everywhere - they don't make them like that anymore.

These were made with love and care by a local resident in response to union jacks and st George flags being put up on local streets.

A corridor in Gloucester cathedral with a gorgeous carved fluted ceiling and little arches along one side where monks studied. The stone is is pale and delicate. The floor is honey coloured slabs interspersed with dark memorial slabs. My crazy 8 yr old is running towards me in a blur.
