Perhaps I'm wrong, but I don't think this is an appropriate use of the word "nationality". "Nation" or "country" would have worked better. @cnn.com

Yep if it was “more Americans than any other nationality” that would be comparing nationality of visitors to Mexico. So either the “more” is misplaced or they mean the place visited and need to use a place noun like nation or country.
