Emma the Jellicent -- Emma, I underestimated you. Throughout the game you were my water type of choice, though since I got you after Clay there weren't a whole lot of battles that I used you in. This would change in the Elite 4. While the first 3 were taken down pretty handily by Setsuna the Drapion, your role was pivital in the hardest fight of the elite 4 -- Marshall. Equipped with psychic and a dream, you took down Marshal's slower units while Hanayo the Flygon tagged in for the faster ones. Without you, Marshal would have won. But the war was not over. After Hanayo fell in Marshal's battle due to a misprediction, you were my greatest answer into Iris's hydreigon. After tanking some dragon pulses you felled the mighty beast and set us up for victory. It was a tough battle, with Setsuna and Lanzhu (Emboar) sacrificing themselves to get critical KOs on Haxorus and Druddigon, but in the end we did it! Without you, Emma, none of it would have been possible, and I wouldn't have beaten my first hardcore Nuzlocke. Thank you.
Allies the Nidoqueen -- Allies, you and your brother Axis were relatively unassuming members of my team at first. You were caught pretty early on, and initially the only reason I liked you was because of your funny nicknames that when put together formed the epitome of my naming convention of Board Games. Once I got access to Moon Stones for both you and your brother, and began to look up movesets I realized that you two had some wild potential. So, I took both of you with me and set off. Everything was going well until we ran into Petrel of Team Rocket, sporting 5 Koffings and a Wheezing, or as I like to think of it, 6 bombs. Unfortunately, I got a little too greedy and kept your brother in against the Wheezing, who proceeded to use Explosion, which crit and one shot Axis. It was then that I decided that no matter what, I was gonna have you on my team going forward, to avenge and honor your brother. And my god what a dependable team member you shaped up to be.
あめ (Ame) the Porygon Z -- Ame. All I can say is thank you. In a run plagued with the most deaths I've ever had in a run I actually beat (16), you were the glue that kept my team (and my fleeting sanity) intact. Without a team member reliable like you, with wild coverage options and enough bulk that I felt comfy sending you in against bigger threats, I don't think I would have been able to mentally handle this run, let alone beat it. Pokemon Platinum gave me a lot of firsts, my first blind nuzlocke, my first time using so many cool pokemon, and most importantly my first time getting the opportunity to travel with you, Ame. You may not have been the silver bullet in any fight, but you were the glue in every fight. For that consistency (and for keeping me sane), you deserve this MVP slot from my run of Pokemon Platinum.
ともだち (Tomodachi) the Excadrill and ここ (Koko) the Scrafty -- Tomodachi and Koko. What else can I say other than you two were the backbone of my Pokemon Black run. The combination of Swords Dance and Work Up, of Ground Steel and Dark Fighting, you made fights that would have been challenging in other runs utter cakewalks purely due to your awesome power. I can't choose one of you over the other because you both played such a pivotal role in bringing about success to this run of Pokemon Black Version. You two were what made me realize that I might be ready for the Hardcore ruleset, though there would still be 2 more runs to complete before I would get the chance to see if I was.
Kanon the Galvantula -- Kanon, oh Kanon, you are the toughest bitch I have ever met. I didn't even originally plan on using you, but when the horrors of the Black 2 Victory Road hit and took my entire A-Team, you stepped up to fill their shoes. Not only did you fill their shoes, you overshadowed them -- by a longshot. In my most dire hour, against a Dragon Dance Boosted Haxorus, I was down to You and my Jellicent. I thought if I sent you in you might be able to outspeed Haxorous and kill it with a well placed Thunder. Unfortunately, you didn't outspeed. "Haxorus used Earthquake" flashed on the screen, and my heart sank. I thought for sure the run was over. As I watched your health bar slowly tick down, it suddenly stopped. Not at 0, but at 23. I was stunned. You absolute madlass proceeded to one shot Haxorus for having the audacity to even THINK he could kill you that easily. All those hours spent training against Audinos paid off, and you single handedly won me the fight against Iris. For that legendary feat, you deserve the MVP slot from my Pokemon Black 2 Nuzlocke.
CremeBrulee the Chandelure -- CremeBrulee, there's not a lot I can say. You were ol' reliable, a strong fast hitter who obliterated your enemies and looked good doing it. While you may not have been my chosen sweeper against Ghetsis, you still saved my ass enough times to win the MVP of my Pokemon White nuzlocke, the first nuzlocke I ever completed.
