It seems like it would be obviously a good thing to expose gamified readers to thought-provoking work like The Stranger, which has stood the test of time, but I guess you first need to be capable of having a thought that could be provoked.

Not that you have to like The Stranger, but if your takeaway is “I didn’t want to be friends with the protagonist” then I think you need to reevaluate your relationship to art.
