Eric Walker @eric.games · 21d Metroid Fusion (GBA, 2002) This game blew me away. More polished than Super Metroid but also a bit more linear, which I liked. It has the same feeling of exploration with less aimless backtracking to look for walls I can blow up with my latest gadget. It's more focused and confident in its design.

Flock Around (PC, 2026) Played this with some friends recently and it is a chill little game where you just wander around taking pictures of birds. Sometimes a bird will land on your friend's head and you get extra points for getting a picture of that. Delightful.
The storytelling and diegetic elements are fantastic. There's a part where you enter a Navigational room to get guidance from the computer like you've done at least a dozen times by that point, and after Samus has a combative conversation with the AI you discover that the exits have been locked.
