I grew up in Boston (Southie and Dorchester). My stepfather was a massive baseball fan, and so was I We idolized Hank Aaron Here's one of Schultz' Hank Aaron themed strips. It appears in The Complete Peanuts 1973-194, page 95. Screenshot from the PDF I just downloaded from Fantagraphics 2/X

I lived in Boston during busing during the 70s. My stepfather was very progressive on race If you know the terrible history of Boston at that time: you may be surprised to hear that. But it's true I knew Hank Aaron experienced brutal racism as he broke Babe Ruth's record 3/X
