Today would have been my father's 80th birthday. You don't ever get over the loss of a parent, do you – you just learn to live with it. Anyway, happy birthday, Dad 🎂🎉🥳

Both my mother and father have passed away — one quite young, one relatively old. My experience is the same as yours: you learn to live with it. But for what it’s worth, I will add that the learning to live with it is very, very different depending on when a parent passed, in your life and in theirs
