TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF SOME BUS STOPS FOR ROUTE 173 It is hereby informed that a partial closure of Jalan Perusahaan 1, Batu Caves will be implemented to make way for flood mitigation works and road upgrading works. This closure is effective from 18 July 2026 to 17 August 2026. Affected passengers can board or alight at existing stops along Jalan SBC 8. Passengers are advised to refer to the MyRapid PULSE application to plan their journey. Minister Question Time on 2026-07-02 I would like to emphasize to this honorable House that the Ministry of Transport in collaboration with the State Government has drawn up a traffic dispersal plan to strengthen the existing public transport system. These include the following services: I. Stage Bus Transformation Program (SBST): Through SBST 2.0, the BAS.MY service network will be expanded to 28 routes involving 254 bus units (including electric/EV buses), of which 157 bus units are dedicated to the JB Sentral/Bukit Chagar route. This phase is expected to commence in early 2027. In addition, the RTS Shuttle service, which is a high-frequency short-distance bus service, will also be introduced to connect JB Sentral/Bukit Chagar with surrounding locations. II. Demand Responsive Transit (DRT) Service: Introducing and enhancing a demand-responsive transport system to provide more dynamic and flexible first-mile and last-mile access to disperse passengers from the main station.
