Justin and the puppers rolled into Chistochina at 1723 after a 49mi run. Trail conditions were a bit sloggy and warm, starting off at 34° and then quickly dipping to 9° about halfway through. Still warm for our liking, but we'll take it! Once everybody got their booties off they lined up for a fish snack and are now bedded down in thick piles of straw for a snooze. Conditions are a bit dicey here in Chisto with very low snow, and the snowhooks that anchor the team down are not holding well. Once the frontrunner teams start to depart we'll have to likely go stand with our pups and make sure they don't take themselves down the trail out of excitement without their musher! Until then, quick nap time for everyone.
