There chance is as good as any other team. They have some nice pieces on their team. Impressive group of basketball players.
This starting 5 has ONE player with a career 3P% OR a 3P% last year above 33% (Bane, both). The career high in AST/game across the starting 5 is 5.5 (Bane, 2023-24). Unless one of these guys takes a MASSIVE leap offensively, no they are not.

The team looks solid. I guess they just need to stay healthy, but I could see them make a lot of noise next season.
Honestly. I'm gonna say no. Not to be harsh but even in the eastern conference. I can't see this team doing anything other than struggling to make it out the first round. I would love to be proven wrong.

My definition of contenders would be I can absolutely see them winning the east next year and I don鈥檛 trust them in the playoffs enough yet to see them do that. So no. They鈥檙e a year away from being true contenders. I think it鈥檚 them and Indiana next year though.
This season should have taught you almost anyone can be a contender if the cards fall right.
