Laniakea (Supercluster) - group of 100,000 galaxies, including the Milky way. Comes from the Hawaiian word laniākea meaning immense heaven. Helion - from both aphelion (the point at which an orbiting body is furthest from the sun) and perihelion (the point at which it is closest). Bonus, it is also the name of the nucleus of a helium atom. Luminosity - total amount of energy radiated into space every second by a star, galaxy, or other celestial object Declination - angular distance north or south of the celestial equator. If you have a pair of characters, could go well with Azimuth which is the horizontal angle from a cardinal direction along the horizon. Ephemeris - A timetable with celestial coordinates that indicates where a planet, comet, or other body moving in relation to background stars will be in the sky. Tisserand ('s parameter) - number calculate based off of two objects to describe the orbit of a third object Gibbous - When the moon (or other body) is more than half, but not fully, illuminated. Angstrom - unit used to specify light wavelengths. Cepheid - a type of star the cycles through brightness changes as it regularly expands and contracts. Eccentricity - the amount by which an elliptical orbit deviates from a perfect circle.
