Humans have 2 sex chromosomes. The platypus has 10 built up over 190MY through a chain of accidents. And they share genes with both the human X AND the bird Z chromosome. Maybe mammal and bird sex systems did not evolve as independently as we thought? 🦆🧬 #Evolution
