Core Dynamics Cormorant The Cormorant design was originally developed for a Federal Navy specification for an improved dropship for special forces. The specification was cancelled during the Thargoid War in favour of building more space superiority ships, but Core Dynamics has revived the programme with private funding for the commercial market. The final design is more specialised than the standard Federal Dropship, with a number of compartments fitted for mission-specific hardware. As a result, it is less capable in ship-to-ship combat, but excels in ground support and troop deployment roles. The 4 Class 1 hardpoints are standard, but the 2 Class 3 hardpoints can only be fitted with Missile and Rocket racks, which can carry more reloads when fitted. Internally, the ship can fit Expedient Passenger Cabins in its Class 5 compartments. These cabins can accommodate more people than Economy, but only if they are Troops, Refugees, or Industrial Workers.
