The waves of red airglow were astonishing. Airglow is caused by self-illuminating atmospheric gases. When I first started astrophotography, I thought it was a deficiency in my camera and would lower blacks and push contrast to filter it out! #astronomy #photography #colorado #MilkyWay #camping
