La minorité anglophone La communauté anglophone est une composante historique et fondamentale de la nation québécoise. L’indépendance du Québec n’a jamais été, n’est pas et ne sera jamais un projet de « revanche » sur la minorité anglophone, bien au contraire : l’indépendance cherche à bâtir un nouveau modèle fondé sur la paix sociale et l’idée que nous sommes tous Québécois. C’est un projet d’émancipation de la nation québécoise, dans toutes ses composantes, d’un régime fédéral qui est dysfonctionnel et défavorable à ses intérêts. Il ne saurait jamais être question qu’un Québec indépendant réduise les droits des anglophones par rapport à ce qu’ils ont aujourd’hui. Il s’agit d’une position historique du Parti Québécois. Lors des référendums de 1980 et 1995, cet engagement formel à garantir les droits des anglophones a fait l’objet d’un consensus. C’est dans cette même optique que le Parti québécois fera en sorte que plusieurs droits de la communauté anglophone qui existent actuellement soient constitutionnalisés, et ce, même dans la constitution transitoire. Par ailleurs, dans les consultations entourant la constitution transitoire, les anglophones seront invités à prendre part au dialogue afin de faire valoir leurs enjeux, au même titre que les autres groupes de la société.

Press release: Montréal, 19 mars 2026 – L’Association des médias écrits communautaires du Québec (AMECQ), l’Association des radiodiffuseurs communautaires du Québec (ARCQ) et la Fédération des télévisions communautaires autonomes du Québec (Fédération) ne peuvent faire autrement que se désoler devant le budget provincial 2026 dévoilé hier. Encore une fois, les médias communautaires sont laissés pour compte. Le budget total alloué au ministère de la Culture et des Communications s’élève à 567 M$, dont 50 % correspond à la reconduction de programmes existants. Dans l’autre moitié, aucune somme ne touche les médias communautaires. Bien que les médias privés aient obtenu un gain en termes de crédits d’impôt, cela ne concerne pas les médias communautaires, qui sont des organismes à but non lucratif. « Le gouvernement du Québec a encore une fois manqué une opportunité de montrer son soutien envers les médias communautaires, des acteurs locaux de première ligne qui répondent quotidiennement aux besoins de leur communauté en leur procurant de l’information fiable tout en favorisant l’exercice d’une citoyenneté active et critique, centrée sur les gens et les événements qui animent leur milieu de vie », exposent les représentants des regroupements de médias communautaires, soit Yvan Girouard, directeur général de l’AMECQ, Angelica Carrero, directrice générale de l’ARCQ et Amélie Hinse, directrice générale de la Fédération des TCA du Québec. Des solutions proposées Depuis plusieurs années déjà, les trois regroupements proposent une solution au gouvernement qui apporterait un soutien non négligeable au secteur qu’ils défendent: augmenter la part des investissements publicitaires du gouvernement consacrée aux médias communautaires, faisant passer la cible fixée dans l’énoncé politique de 1995 de 4 % à 12 % afin d’assurer à la fois l’efficacité de ses communications et la pérennité d’un maillage informationnel local essentiel à la société québécoise.
Introduction of an automated income tax return filing process by Revenu Québec on behalf of certain low-income individuals starting in the 2026 taxation year In order to provide Quebecers with the tax assistance to which they may be entitled but which they do not receive because they do not file their Québec income tax return, it is proposed to allow Revenu Québec to file income tax returns on behalf of certain individuals19 whom it may select based on certain criteria. A similar approach will also apply to the filing of federal income tax returns starting in the 2025 taxation year.20 To ensure Quebecers can benefit from this new initiative for their Québec income tax returns, Québec tax legislation will be amended so that Revenu Québec can file such income tax returns on behalf of certain selected low-income individuals starting in the 2026 taxation year.  Conditions to be met by an eligible individual To qualify for the automated income tax return filing process on behalf of a low-income individual by Revenu Québec for a taxation year, an eligible individual must meet the following conditions: — the individual must reside in Québec at the end of December 31 of the taxation year;21 — the individual must not have filed an income tax return for the taxation year before the applicable filing-due date for that year or within a certain period of time after that date, this date to be determined later. It should be noted that other selection criteria of eligible individuals, namely those with a simple and stable tax situation, will be determined by spring 2027.  Process leading to the issuance of a notice of assessment Before filing an income tax return on behalf of an individual, Revenu Québec must have provided the individual with all the information relating to their tax return that it holds about their situation, and the individual must have had a reasonable period of time to be determined later to review the information provided and submit any changes.

I am writing to request, as of today's date, that the CRTC license of CKHR-FM be revoked. The station has not been on air since around February of 2022. This was just prior to the president of the society passing away. Since that time the society also lost its status with the Northwest Territories Corporate Registries. At the time of going off air, I Dian Papineau-Magill, was the secretary/treasurer of the society. There is no plan for CKHR-FM to return to the air.
