We have lost a labor rights pioneer and champion of workers around the world. Pharis was instrumental in founding FLA, and his efforts deeply influenced our work holding companies accountable to their human rights commitments. His vision and leadership helped extend FLA’s programs beyond manufacturing to the agriculture sector; he understood that risks are often highest in the least formal areas of the supply chain. Throughout his life, Pharis remained a driving force in fighting child labor and will be deeply missed by those committed to the rights of workers everywhere. We are confident that the crucial work he helped shape will continue.

The GLWC and its members support unions and employers by providing relevant data to inform their wage negotiations, involving them in producing that data, and raising awareness for living wages around the world.
We’re Hiring! Position: Project Manager, India (Naturals) The Project Manager will manage all project activities for Harvesting the Future of Naturals in India; assess partners' HRDD systems; improve the capacity of the natural ingredient suppliers in India to identify, remedy, and mitigate child labor issues in their immediate supply chains; conduct and report on field-level assessments during the harvest season; and more. Location: Remote (Bangalore, India) Salary: $35,805 USD, paid in Indian Rupee
