Leanora shrugs off her coat, leaving it in a puddle on the dock, and toes her boots off, balancing gingerly. She really has no confidence in her knee: she led with her good leg on every stair, shuffling her bad one down alongside it before taking the next step. It’s funny, despite Eden’s body trying to fall apart at any given moment, she has nothing but faith in it. It’s not to say she doesn’t have limits, she got a very embarrassing reminder about just how clear those limits are a few days ago, but Eden trusts her body to get up on stage and ignore the pain, and do the impossible, and make it all look easy when it matters. Eden doesn’t believe in magic, or fate, or any higher power—Eden believes in herself.
