Inside of a convent, an elderly nun tries to understand a rather confusing situation. She squints at a letter in her hand, looking somewhat concerned by the contents. Behind her, an anthropomorphic cross fox in a nun habit scatters a pile of mail as she waves her hands frantically, trying to stop the elder nun from reading a particularly spicy piece of mail.
A nervous flying fox, Vee, is picked up and carried off by a genderbent Gohan. The coyote is excitedly taking Vee to the beach, wearing a borrowed bikini and a blue flannel jacket. Vee is clinging to a sketchbook, trying not to drop it.

In between each section are walkways that allow the staff, who are mostly mice, to have easy access to the tops of tables so they can deliver food without being on the floor. One staff member, Belma, is busy cleaning up a spilled dish on the floor. A cat, Lyra, is busy leading a particularly tall customer to the section of the restaurant with the largest tables.

Yes, I know its a cat. No, she's not even an honorary mouse this time. She's just the shop cat. Why? Because the restaurant needed a shop cat. She's not even there to help keep the mice out, that would be insane. She's just there to be the token cat. She's also helpful in that regard on the cafe side, though if she's hanging out there it's usually during her off hours. No, she's not there to be pet, she's there for coffee. No, you may not pet the staff during work hours. No, you may not pet the staff without their permission if they're off work. You may, however, buy the cat a drink. She might compulsively knock it off the table when she's finished. That's not meant to be an insult to you, not even close. That's just a cat thing.
A pair of relic hunting ferakin, Merida the serval and Emile the wolverine, have rappelled down underneath a ruined stellarkin warehouse. While Emile searches some boxes for potential useful treasures, Merida senses something is wrong. She cracks a chem light and lifts it up only to discover two eerie husks lurking nearby. A third, massive husk rears up in the background, coming to investigate the light. "Emile?" Merida says as calmly as she can. "We need to leave. Right now."
