Die politische Antwort der EU sollte noch klarer sein: Diversifizierung statt Eskalation. Die EU sollte bestehende Freihandelsabkommen wie die mit Kanada, Japan und Südkorea vertiefen und gleichzeitig neue Abkommen mit Ländern wie Indien, Australien, den Mercosur-Staaten und den ASEAN-Ländern anstreben oder finalisieren.
