So I'm not gonna be all eloquent and soapboxy here since I don't really see a need to, but yeah, I think I’m done with Bluesky, if not GREATLY shrinking my presence on it. I’m not gonna delete my account (or even deactivate it for that matter, barring the worst) but don’t expect much coming from here going forward. The reasons for this are twofold. Firstly, there’s all the bullshit the moderation team is up to. Now, I left Twitter before Elon took over, so I don’t have any first-hand comparisons to make, but a moderation team that seems almost gleeful in shunning the audience it’s garnered through censorship-heavy TOS and allowing problematic folks in when people are very vocally against letting bigots and other hate speech on the platform is… yeah, a bad sign. The second reason is… I think I’m just kinda done with post-based social media in general. I’ve tried a few times on different platforms, but either they just didn’t really “click” with me (Tumblr) or got so unstable that I wasn’t really having fun anymore (Twitter, Reddit, and now Bluesky). Moreover, I need to realize that the constant doomscrolling and feelings of helplessness and uncertainty that social media brings just isn’t worth any reward for me. I’m very grateful for all my followers (seriously how tf did I get 800+), but I gotta make mental health more of a priority in my life, and I think dropping most social media is gonna be a BIG step in that. I’ve tried to compromise, I’ve tried to tailor the experience, but at this point I think the best solution is to go full cold turkey. Sucks, but what can ya do. The good news is I’m not falling off the face of the Internet entirely. I’ll still be on Discord and Unvale, which I think is where a good chunk of my followerbase comes from anyway. I’m also gonna try and revive my Newgrounds account for art stuff, so if you’re following me for that, mosey on over there. (continued in next pic)
Today's word is crystal! On the mortal side of the Arcana universe, there is a kingdom known as Fortuna; Unlike Arcana, which promotes a sense of humble unity and cooperation, Fortuna favors those with wealth and riches, leaving anyone unlucky enough to keep up with very little. Among the high and mighty of Fortuna is none other than Lady Disma, whose haughty and seemingly proper demeanor proudly displays her vain and greedy lifestyle. No matter how much she has, she must simply have more, and she has little care for who she hurts or scams to get it. Lady Disma's main weapon is a magical staff, with which she can attract crystals and other gemstones like a magnet or shoot off energy beams which can turn objects and people to crystalized statues (though the effect is only temporary on living beings). If she really has to get her hands dirty, though, she can transform her body into pure crystal, buffing her strength and durability at the cost of being unable to perform other magical feats.

Today's word is cemetery! With so many cemeteries in Soulstyce, somebody's gotta keep them clean. Enter Reagen and Corpella, the ghostly groundskeepers of the kingdom! I imagine the two having a big brother/little sister dynamic, with their outfits resembling a valet and a maid respectively. Reagen is the silent, cold one of the two, taking his duties very seriously and rarely stopping to communicate with anyone. Best case scenario, he just points to the entrance of the cemetery as a means of telling you to go away. Nevertheless, he's very good at his job, and anyone causing trouble in the cemetery has him (and his very large scythe) to answer to. Contrastingly, Corpellia is a socialable sweetheart of a specter, happy to chat with anyone while performing her duties and often going out of her way to be polite and accomodating to the cemetery's undead denizens. Do be warned, though; If a very unlucky someone presses her buttons too much, she'll snap into a frightening frenzy of rage. No wonder the two are related.

In case you missed it, I'll be doing a "random word OC" challenge this month! Every year, I'll be using this generator (https://randomwordgenerator.com/) to pick out a random word, then create a new OC based on it (drawing them may or may not happen). Today's word is part! Armold is a character in the Gijinkaverse based on a swiss army knife. As such, he has the ability to swap out one/both of his arms for various tools and parts, having something that could help in most any situation! Good thing, too, since he's quite the nervous wreck who insists on being prepared for anything that might come his way, no matter how unlikely. Being given sentience hasn't been the greatest deal for the guy; He feels like he doesn't belong in the world, and more often than not just wants to be left alone. Think Forky from Toy Story, but a bit less self-destructive.
