Die Schätzung von Armutsrisikoquoten mit Konfidenzintervallen (2026) Beginnend mit dem Erhebungsjahr 2005 veröffentlichte die amtliche Statistik Armutsrisikoquoten (ARQ) für die Gesamtbevölkerung und für ausgewählte Subpopulationen auf Basis von Mikrozensusdaten (MZ). Im Vergleich zu anderen Datenquellen hat der MZ aufgrund der sehr großen Stichprobe einige Vorteile für die Schätzungen der ARQ auf regionaler Ebene wie auch für kleinere Bevölkerungsgruppen. Da die Angaben zum Haushaltsnettoeinkommen nur klassiert vorliegen, ist dies etwas aufwändiger. Das Papier beschreibt das Vorgehen für die Gesamtbevölkerung und für die Gruppe der alleinerziehenden Haushalte. Die ARQ werden sowohl für den Bundes- als auch für den Landesmedian geschätzt. Die Validierung erfolgt einerseits anhand der veröffentlichten amtlichen ARQ, andererseits auf Basis von EU-SILC-Daten. Darüber hinaus wird eine designbasierte Varianzschätzung vorgestellt. Die so ermittelten Standardfehler und Konfidenzintervalle helfen dabei, die stichprobenbedingte Variabilität der Schätzungen bei der Interpretation der Ergebnisse im Fokus zu behalten. R- und Stata-Programme dokumentieren die Schätzungen mit den Scientific-Use-Files des MZ 2005 bis 2022.
How to use MISSY to get an overview of the which variables are available in which year in EU-SILC data
Abstract Since the redesign of the German Microcensus in 2020, it is no longer possible to reliably identify same-sex couples, and official statistics no longer report figures on their prevalence. The tool provided by GESIS for identifying same-sex couples in the Scientific Use Files of the Microcensus has also been discontinued for the time being. This report outlines the extent and causes of these identification issues. Using the Scientific Use Files of the German Microcensus, the prevalence of same-sex couples is estimated and compared over time and across the life course of (synthetic) cohorts. A clear break is observed in 2020, due to methodological changes in the collection and processing of data on sex. Hypothetical example calculations demonstrate thateven minimal changes in data on sex can lead to a significant increase in the (small) number of same-sex couples. Methodological adjustments indicate that same-sex couples can be identified more reliably again from the 2024 Microcensus onwards. Keywords: Same-Sex Couples, Microcensus, Germany.
