1. Keep building software We are now 3 years into hearing “6 months until AI takes all our jobs.” I don’t know about you, but I really have no idea whether AI will actually “take all our jobs.” I don’t think it will, but even if it does, there’s nothing we can really do to prepare for that anyway, so may as well keep doing what we do best, learning and growing. Instead, I plan on continuing to build software using the latest tools and technologies available to me within the constraints of my environment.
My call to action for anyone in the React community today, and hoping to grow with it over time, is the following: remember there are humans working on the software, and they want to be treated with kindness and respect just like you. Remember that OSS is a gift and you are not entitled to make demands without putting any energy forward yourself. And above all else, be the optimistic change you want to see in the world.

Você não precisa começar pelo React Quando a gente decide aprender programação, parece que o React tá em todo lugar. Cursos, vagas, posts, memes… Quase como se começar por ele fosse obrigatório. Mas deixa eu te contar um segredo: não é. Aprender HTML, CSS e JavaScript puro com calma te dá superpoderes que muitos pulam. Entender como o navegador realmente funciona, resolver problemas com menos dependências, dominar a base da web, e não só bibliotecas que abstraem tudo, ter autonomia pra usar qualquer framework com confiança. E o melhor: não existe uma regra de onde você precisa começar. Alguns vão direto pro framework e depois voltam pro básico. Outros mergulham no vanilla e só usam React meses depois. O importante não é o ponto de partida, é entender que a jornada é sua. Não importa se você começa pelo JS do zero, pelo React, pelo backend, ou até pelo design, o que importa é continuar. I've worked as a front-end developer for 8+ years now. I have never (and I mean NEVER) needed to write a merge sort algorithm, implement depth-first search or invert a binary tree. Of course it depends on which field of programming you choose. But for front-end, I seriously can't understand companies testing for these types of skills during interviews 🤷‍♂️

Using signals in React requires complex workarounds for raw data handling, passing props, and conditional rendering, essentially hacking React's core behavior. Filipe suggests developers who value fine-grained reactivity should consider frameworks that natively support it rather than forcing React to behave against its design.
