The DSA complains about identity politics and tries to center class instead. And maybe there's a point to that. But it is hard to say, even today, that being Black is not a specific class that needs specific policy intervention.

I think this has more to do with entrenched machine bosses being extremely pissed off that they waited there turn for a higher position they feel is owed to them and they feel victimized. Also NYT has been trying to ratfuck Mamdani since he started.
