Darn. I guess we're not blessed because we don't have a god representing the whole nation. Instead, we have a secular nation where everyone is free to believe what they want — or not believe at all.

Isn’t this almost a tautology? If a nation has a god, isn’t that god automatically the nation’s lord? I mean, how can a nation have a god that isn’t their lord? It seems like a dippy statement

A nation can’t have a god because a nation isn’t a living being capable of having a relationship to a theoretical higher entity. Religion is used to control people and has always been the purpose.
