One week from today I graduate college. I’ve waited 15 years for this moment - as it’s one I truly never thought I’d live to see. But what I’ve waited for even longer is what comes one month after: moving abroad. Over Spring Break I was accepted into a TEFL certification program in Prague to teach English abroad!! I have wanted to do this program for a decade, but never had my degree to be able to teach. Now, I will. In my sobriety these last 6 years, I’ve grown ENDLESSLY as a human, and you have all been here to watch and encourage and cheer me on. I will forever love you all so very much for that. However, something that I haven’t yet mastered is asking for help. I’ve forever worked hard to accomplish things on my own, that if I can’t do something alone then I shouldn’t do it at all. But who am I to help others if I can’t ever ask for help myself? So, here I am, doing what is most difficult for me, and admitting that I can’t accomplish this dream alone right now. I’ve written a lot more in the fundraiser, but whether it‘s $5, a share to a wealthy friend (hit up any sugar daddies for me, please) or kind words of encouragement during this time of my life - where I’m grieving leaving Oregon, school, and everything I’ve ever known to pursue the dream I’ve had since a child of traveling the world. I love you all, and thank you from the bottom of my big ol’ heart ❤
