My takeaway is that we really need a large coalition of like minded electorates wishing to defeat the Republicans with democratic candidates that will answer to their constituents, not be bought, have a strong moral compass, and defend our democracy and constitution.

Yes, people should look at where democracies have slipped to learn what can be done to stop that. People should also be helping protect democracies in other countries. People are being impacted in the US and want change. There are other countries much worse off, who need help.
