William Sherriff sailed from Scotland in 1839 and named his Morphett Vale farm Dunglass, after the Haddingtonshire estate he had left behind. He helped found the district's first council, and today a road at Lonsdale and a stone ruin carry the family name. #fieldstobarrels #history #localhistory
